Lizards are pests simply by their presence indoors as they come in from surrounding vegetation in search of insects that are attracted to lights and contaminate food & products. Lizards are active primarily during daylight. They move indoors during the early evening or early morning in search of insects that are attracted to lights at night. Lizards feed primarily on insects and spiders; they especially prefer ants. They are solitary animals, but they may occur in large numbers where there is abundant vegetation and moist conditions. These animals can easily walk on smooth surfaces, such as walls and ceiling.
